The Cabinet is a unique mobile display taking the form of an upturned boat shaped cabinet. It was constructed as part of a wider outreach programme that took place in Wivenhoe in early 2004. It contains an exhibition of artworks and objects made by local people and inspired by the town’s maritime heritage. A proposal is that it should go to the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich.
